The aim of this paper is to identify the efficiency of a nation to be able to utilize its infrastructure and investments to phenomenal medical tourism outputs. More competition and rivalry have been seen among the countries as medical tourism becomes more attractive to most of the countries. A number of countries engaged in medical tourism are quite large, increase in supply and a wide range of options renders bargaining power the buyers. It becomes important to determine the competitive intensity and market attractiveness and the competitive position of India in global competition in medical tourism. Porter’s five forces model has been used to determine the competitive intensity and market attractiveness of the medical tourism in India.The aim of the analytical tools used in the study is to sharpen the focus of analysis and to ensure a methodical, balanced approach.
