Bushra Al-Qadri

A poignant example of a nation struggling with the consequences of a long-term conflict is evident in Yemen. Devastated by conflict and discord, Yemen's infrastructure is in ruins, as the conflict has disrupted basic services such as healthcare and education, leaving children particularly vulnerable. Many schools have been damaged or closed, depriving children of access to education, which is crucial for their development and future opportunities. The continued violence and displacement have also exposed children to serious risks, the simplest of which is separation from family. The repercussions are wide-ranging, threatening the population's access to quality education. Accordingly, this study seeks to explore the perspectives of fourth-year students at the College of Education in Sana’a regarding the reality of education and its role in maintaining safety with the potential to create transformative change or at least mitigate negative impacts. Results. These students have survived the ravages of war from primary school through university, making them play a pivotal role in the field. Through their visions and convictions, a glimpse of the future path becomes clear.
