The present study aims to analyse the financial performance of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. For this purpose, data was collected from various sources, primarily the company’s reports and financial statements, and processed with the help of ratio analysis, trend analysis, and comparative analysis. The research was conducted in 2021-2026 to assess the company’s liquidity, solvency, profitability, and overall operational success and performance level. Multiple financial ratios were calculated and compared to evaluate these aspects, namely, Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Cash Ratio, Debt-to-Equity Ratio, Interest Coverage Ratio, Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Capital Employed (ROCE), Net Profit Margin, Asset Turnover Ratio, and Earnings per Share (EPS). The analysis revealed that Larsen & Toubro Ltd. demonstrated a stable liquidity position and a strong solvency position with a minimal presence of financial leverage. The company reported signs of improvement in terms of asset utilisation and profit generation and had consistent revenue, current assets, total assets, and shareholders’ equity growth during the analysed period. Nevertheless, a slight decline in profitability was observed in 2025-2026 due to an increase in operating expenses and profit after tax, which decreased ROA, ROE, Net Profit Margin, and EPS. Thus, the study concluded that the company demonstrated overall stable financial performance and efficient operations but should consider improving cost management and profitability to ensure sustainable growth and create more value for shareholders.
